Why I Blog Erratically

HEY THERE all you beautiful people who still bother to read my blog! You know I love you~

So I know I don't blog like I used to, with a new post every few days. Now, when I do post, I post in spurts - random spurts of sudden inspiration. I mean, if I have nothing to write about, what do I write about? I'm not a very creative person, so I don't often get any ideas that are interesting and bloggable enough to blog about. Personally, I just don't see the point in writing something when I have nothing to write. That's reserved for English class. (HAHA I'm so funny.)

A brief summary of reasons why I may not be blogging for a period of time:

1. Life is boring where I live, and just boring in general. Nothing ever happens...except for the recent shooting, which is obviously horrible and sad and scary and really sick, especially since the soldier was shot in front of the war memorial. That's just twisted. My heart goes out to Cpl. Nathan Cirillo as well as WO Patrice Vincent, and all who knew them. May you rest in peace. 
2. I have schoolwork - a shitload of schoolwork, to the point where my life is basically a pile of homework. Sad, I know.
3. Books!
4. I'm on a trip.
5. Tumblr and/or Facebook
6. Youtube

Generally, though, it's the first two reasons. And to be honest, I go on Tumblr and Facebook erratically too...

Why I Love Snow

Why I Love Snow

In honour of the melting snow (I hate slush).

1.  It's beautiful
It really is. One of the things I love doing in winter is to watch the snow fall. It's really calm and peaceful-looking. The little pieces of white fluff gently (or sometimes not so gently) drift down from the sky, and everything gets coated in a soft layer of white. It makes the scenery looks amazing. 

So pretty :)

2. SNOW DAYS

Technically, school is never actually cancelled unless the storm is so big that the power goes out or something, but school buses can still be cancelled if there's enough snow. And then us school bussers don't have to go to school!! =D

I remember this one snow day back at my old, old school when I was in grade 1. A lot of people didn't go to school that day, but I did because I lived really close. Because my teachers were awesome, that whole day we basically just watched a movie, played in the snow and had free time. No work at all. I know the other grade 1 class actually got to eat popcorn or something, but whatever. It was still awesome :)

3. Sports
Specifically tobogganing (does that count as a sport?), snowshoeing and skiing, both downhill and cross-country. Though the only times I do any of these is at school, and my school doesn't actually have downhill skis. While I'm glad that we have skis at all - cuz I know that a lot of schools don't - honestly, going downhill skiing with cross-country skis kinda sucks. You get like no control and you end up falling A LOT. Or maybe it's just me. Lol ;)

Also, one down point is that wearing snowpants sucks. Combined together with a coat, they always make me look like a marshmallow. So flattering. 

P.S. Is "lol" a word yet? And what about "funner"? That one should definitely be a word. Just saying.

P.P.S. I was right - I'm still not done my homework :(

CANADA WON!!!

CANADA WON!!!

Did you all see that game?? It was the most intense game EVER. 

So for those of you who don't know, it was Canada vs. U.S.A. in the women's hockey finals. For most of the game the U.S. was in the lead, and by 3rd period, it was 2-0 to the U.S.. Practically my whole school was watching the game and I swear, when Canada scored our second goal in last few minutes of 3rd period, we went crazy screaming and cheering, we were so happy.

At that point another teacher walked into my classroom, said, "In case you didn't know, we tied and now we're into overtime." Then he left and closed the door behind him. Two seconds later, he was back. He pushed the door open, jumped a little, grabbed his jersey, screamed "YEAH!!" and then left again. He's awesome :D

Almost the entire overtime went by without a single goal, but it was such a close game, our eyes were glued to the t.v. screen the whole time. There were so many close shots, and when in those last few seconds, Canada's Marie-Philip Poulin scored on the U.S. net, we went ballistic. My whole class was screaming and jumping and hugging each other, and we could all hear the rest of the school doing the same. The very ceiling was shaking with the jumping of the people on the floor above us. Needless to say, it was a happy, happy time :)

So proud, Team Canada :)
