Help the Poor - NOT

This is going to be a short post. It looks long, but trust me, it really isn't.

Today is the day The Forever Song by Julie Kagawa comes out!! :D I've been waiting forever. I can't wait to read it :)

And also, the cover for Marie Lu's The Young Elites was released a few days ago. It's so purrrty :3 But doesn't it look like the bottom has been cut off?

On another, less happy note, I found something...interesting. It's kind of sad, but it's very true. I think it speaks quite a bit about human nature.

fuck the poor, help the poor, human nature

People may say whatever they want and act all righteous, but when it comes down to it, does anything really get done?

Only a disappointing amount.

And I'll just leave you with that thought in mind.

Happy procrastinating :)

P.S. I was debating whether to name this post "Help the Poor" or "F*** the Poor". In the end, I went with the less offensive one.

wow this really makes you think!
I completely agree with this! Wow!
I try to help out and donate when I have a few spare coins in my wallet!
But I will admit that not every time I walk past , I donate!
This is such an interesting experiment!

I saw an article about this guy yesterday. It really is sad that people continually walk by. I wonder if people ever put themselves in the shoes of those less fortunate. People (me included) can be so self centred and self focused that we don't see anyone else. :(

@Tropical Colours: Same here. I try to donate some money whenever I can, but at the same time, I know that I do not always.

@Sarah: Yeah, and I think that applies to most people. I guess it's just easier to walk by and pretend not to see anything rather than doing something about it :(

OMG, Marie Lu is working on a new series? How could I not know that?! Here I am, still waiting for the Dutch release of Champion...

For some reason, the picture didn't surprise me. We all want others to look up to us when we say something is wrong, but when we get the chance to do something good just because we can, we don't do it. Sad but true, you see it happen everywhere...

Hey! You left a comment on one of my posts and I thought I'd come over and check out your blog! Love this post and this social experiment. You can't just talk the talk and feel good about yourself at the end of the day. Action brings change. Thanks for the cool post!
